March Is Music 2024 - Bronx Piano Sunday, Sylvia Jiang
Pregones/PRTT's March Is Music concert series is back featuring live concerts by world-class Latin, jazz, fusion, and classical artists: For Bronx Piano Sunday join, Sylvia Jiang–a pianist from New Zealand inducted as a member of the Astral Artists roster after being named winner in their 2023 Competition. A graduate of the Juilliard School, she has been hailed by critics as a “gifted young pianist of genuine substance” and “New Zealand’s most notable young emerging pianist.” Sylvia’s performances have been featured on BBC News, TV3, ABC Australia, and more. She has won numerous top prizes at national and international competitions including the prestigious Hastings International and Wallace National Piano Competitions.
All events are presented live at Pregones Theater, located at 575 Walton Avenue, just steps off the 2, 4, 5 trains, in The Bronx, a.k.a. The Borough of Music (“El condado de la música”).
