Experience a guided tour of New York City dance this summer at New Victory Dance! Hosted by New Victory Teaching Artists and thoughtfully curated specifically for young audiences, each program showcases a mixed bill of acclaimed NYC-based dance companies—three per program, nine in total—and features an interactive Talk-Back with the dancers and choreographers, all for $13 per ticket.

The Program Jerron Herman Vitruvian (Excerpt) In this dance and media work, choreographer Jerron Herman embodies Leonardo Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man. Experience a new narrative about the history of the “ideal” body from this Black, disabled dancer. The video projected during this piece includes ASL interpretation and captioning.

Calpulli Mexican Dance Company Viñedos (Excerpt) Through traditional Mexican dance, Viñedos celebrates the real-life stories of immigrant families who helped build California’s wine industry.

A.I.M by Kyle Abraham Someday Soon (Excerpt) Choreographer Keerati Jinakunwiphat examines what flowers can symbolize in this celebratory dance piece.
