MCP Presents: Heaven and Earth
Manhattan Concert Productions welcomes audiences to its first concert of the 2024 Season: HEAVEN AND EARTH!
Join Deanna Joseph, the Masterwork Festival Chorus, New York City Chamber Orchestra and soloists in a dazzling performance of Dan Forrest's Requiem for the Living. This performance will feature a chorus made up of singers from around the country. Dancers from Benjamin Briones Ballet will accompany the piece, creating a breathtaking visual interpretation of Forrest’s most popular work-to-date.
As a complement to Requiem for the Living, Eric Posada will take to the podium to conduct Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass. This transcendent work takes listeners on a journey from the heavens to the earth, going from “the most transparent and spacey, to something completely grounded, [...] warm and solid.”
Don't miss this fantastic evening of choral music-making!
