Earth Tongues at Williamsburg Art & Historical Center
The concert will be a record release show for the group Earth Tongues.

Earth Tongues An ensemble dedicated to exploring the scope and scale of experimental improvised music, Earth Tongues approaches each performance as a chance to build new, engaging work that questions our relationship to and understanding of music, sound, and noise. Consisting of Carlo Costa on percussion, Joe Moffett on trumpet, and Dan Peck on tuba, the trio creates pieces that explore dynamic, textural, and temporal extremes. Earth Tongues' fourth album, Anemone, is available as a pre-release and will be out on Neither/Nor Records in February 2024.

Previous releases:

Rune, Neither Nor Records, 2015

Ohio, Neither Nor Records, 2016

Atem, Neither Nor Records, 2019

ABOUT THE WAH CENTER In late October 1996, Yuko Nii founded the non-profit The WAH Center (Williamsburg Art & Historical Center) based upon her Bridge Concept. That concept envisions a multifaceted, multicultural art center whose mission is to coalesce the diverse artistic community, and create a bridge between local, national and international artists, emerging and established artists, and artists of all disciplines. Thus through the international language of art we come to understand each other to create a more peaceful and integrated world. The WAH Center is a force for peace and understanding and its concept is incorporated in its acronym: “WAH” in Japanese means “peace” or “harmony” or “unity”.
