Keeping Memories consists of two solo exhibitions featuring works on paper by Contemporary artists, Angela A'Court and Karin Bruckner. A’Court’s still lifes hum with energy as bold colors and pronounced texture reveal lyrical studies of bouquets, while Bruckner produces a series of abstract prints exploring ideas of memory and femininity through a process she relates to archeology. We’ll have a private walkthrough of the exhibit, as well as artist talks by both featured artists while enjoying bagels, fruit & mimosas. After brunch, you can choose to join for our first art-full discovery walk of 2024 when we’ll be checking out the latest, all-new gallery shows and street art in the LES! Our Art-full Discovery walks are a mix of a gallery hop combined with elements of a historical walking tour, and stops for snacks along the way. This walk focuses on the themes of art, entrepreneurship & diversity which are ever-present in this neighborhood. Led by Women of Culture Founder, Alexandra Harper, you will take in the best new gallery shows and street art in the neighborhood, with a focus on female artists and female-owned businesses. Please note the event is being hosted in conjunction with the Parlor Social Club and is gender inclusive. It is open to all with an interest in art and community.
