The National CARES Mentoring Movement (CARES) will host their 9th annual For the Love of Our Children Gala to raise funding to support national trauma healing programs that ensure all the nation’s children have access to support needed to live healthy, emotionally, and financially stable lives. Hosted by EMMY and NAACP Image Award winning host of the ‘SHERRI’ Show, Sherri Shepherd, the evening will also include a very special performance by Grammy nominated and NAACP Image Award winning singer Kenny Lattimore. The Gala’s Honorary Co-chairs are award winning actors Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance will share a special message with the guests. The evening will also celebrate CARES’ North Star Award honorees Dr. Trisha Bailey, Susan Taylor Batten and Grace Vandecruze.
