The Workers Circle Presents: Cultural Activism – Art to Change the World
What is cultural activism? What is its impact? Join us as we explore why and how artists use their talents to bring about societal change. In a conversation with Adah Hetko, we will discuss and discover diverse perspectives about the meaning of cultural activism. Audience participation will be encouraged.
Adah Hetko is a singer, songwriter, scholar, and kultur-makher (culture-maker) known for her special understanding of Yiddish language and culture. On Thursday, February 22 at 7:00 PM ET, she will share music, stories, and wisdom with the Workers Circle community, and multidisciplinary artist Anthony Modechai Tzvi Russell.
