The class will focus on Prosecco Superiore DOCG wines from Conegliano Valdobbiadene, the tiny, ancient winegrowing area in the foothills of the Dolomites where Prosecco was born. Falling in the middle of National Prosecco DOC Week (June 24-30), this class will clarify the differences between Prosecco DOC and Prosecco “ConVal” DOCG, as well as give participants a rare opportunity to taste eight complex, diverse, and unique Prosecco wines, including rarities such as Tranquillo, Col Fondo, Rive, and Cartizze.

Instructor Alan Tardi was the first American Ambassador of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOGC, has written two award-winning wine books, and was formerly a lead Italian wine educator for the Wine Scholar Guild.
