Greenwich Village Orchestra: Travelogues with Itamar Zorman, violin
Favorite soloist, violinist Itamar Zorman, joins the Greenwich Village Orchestra in the Barber Violin Concerto. The program also includes Mendelssohn's lively and evocative Symphony #3, "Scottish", conducted by Barbara Yahr.
Winner of the 2011 Tchaikovsky International Violin Competition, a recipient of the 2014 Borletti-Buitoni Award and the 2013 Avery Fisher Career Grant. Itamar Zorman is one of the most soulful, evocative artists of his generation, distinguished by his emotionally gripping performances and gift for musical storytelling. He has wowed audiences all over the world with breathtaking style. His "youthful intensity" and "achingly beautiful" sound shine through in every performance, earning him the title of the "virtuoso of emotions".
