OUR VISION The Winter Walk is an organization that believes ending homelessness is within our reach. Our mission is to raise awareness and funds towards that goal, and to support organizations that are working on prevention, support, and care for our homeless community. Our year-round work in education, outreach, and advocacy, culminates in a monumental walk every February. Together we raise voices in hope that we are just steps away from not only ending homelessness, but also from creating lasting systemic change.

Every year we host a 2 mile walk outside in each host city. Participants, housed and unhoused, will walk shoulder to shoulder and then share a meal together and hear stories from those with lived experience of homelessness.

We are proud to share that we have expanded our efforts in 2023, not only walking in our home city of Boston, but also adding an event in Western Massachusetts and NYC.

Homelessness can happen to anybody, to people you know, or even to you. Each person has a unique story. All of them are our neighbors in need, and we can help. We will share stories and celebrate, and learn how we can then do more.

We are now pleased to announce we will be hosting our 2nd Annual Winter Walk NYC on 2.25.24! This year the Walk will be at Hudson River Park. We will meet at Pier 62 at the Chelsea Piers. This is the corner of 12th Ave and 21st Street.

Registration will open at 10 am with a short presentation, and the walk will begin at 10:30 am. At the end of the Walk, we invite participants to join us for a Grab and Go Breakfast!

This year all of the funds raised will go back to 6 amazing local partners: The Bowery Mission, Covenant House, Coalition for the Homeless, New Alternatives, New Destiny House, and WIN.

This year we are delighted to have Paul English, Ben Lawson, and Violett Gaida join us on stage.

Paul English, co-founder of Winter Walk, is an American tech entrepreneur, computer scientist and philanthropist. He will be joined on stage by Ben Lawson, Australian actor, and current star of the Netflix series, Firefly Lane. Violett Gaida, international model, singer and philanthropist based in NYC will also be joining us on stage.
