This Is a Classic! Live! 36 Plays by Women You Should Know
Sure, you know Shakespeare... but how many classic WOMEN writers do you know?
Through Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre's cornerstone program, Expand the Canon, they've developed a database of over 6,000 plays by women and non-binary playwrights. But that's a lot to unpack! So, every year, a group of curators and aficionados read 250+ titles to find the 9 most exciting, timely, and producible works to celebrate and advocate for.
Join us on January 22 at a live show of their podcast, This is a Classic!, as Hedgepig celebrates their 36 plays by women throughout history (the same number of plays as Shakespeare wrote!) Visit www.expandthecanon.com to learn about them all.
