Author Talk with Lee McColgan: A House Restored
Bayside Historical Society welcomes architectural conservator and author Lee McColgan for a fascinating lecture about his new book, "A House Restored." Lee gave up his 9-5 job to dedicate himself to the daunting task of restoring the 1702 Loring House in Pembroke, MA. Deteriorating bricks, frozen pipes, shattered windows, a punctured foundation, and an airborne chimney cap were only some of the challenges he faced. Learn about the trials, tribulations, and triumphs that Lee experienced while saving this 18th-century New England Colonial. Autographed copies of "A House Restored" will be on sale following the presentation.
This event is part of Bayside Historical Society's "Author Talk at The Castle Series." Cost is $10.00 for BHS members and $15.00 for non-members; purchase tickets on the BHS website at www.baysidehistorical.org/events-1/author-talk-with-lee-mccolgan-a-house-restored.
