In between, there's the history of the Yiddish Theater, the Beat generation, yippies, jazz, poetry, protests, and much more. Tours are offered every Tues.-Sun. at 11am; meet your guide at the intersection of 8th St., Lafayette St. & Fourth Aves. You can't miss the huge Astor Place "Cube" that's front and center.
