Related Articles Exploring the Neighborhoods of Manhattan Things to do this week in NYC Aug 28-Sep 4: Music Things to do this week in NYC Aug 28-Sep 4: Outdoor Activities Most Popular Articles on CGNY Things to do in NYC: Labor Day Weekend Shop NYC: Sex and the City Gifts, Fun for Kids at Build-a-Bear & More NHL Stars Jonathan Toews & Patrick Kane Launch EA Sports NHL at the NHL Powered by Reebok Store Wed., Sept. 8th Guests at Madame Tussauds New York and Madame Tussauds Las Vegas had the chance to get up close and personal with the world’s most famous secret agent, 007, as the attractions unveiled wax figures of Daniel Craig as James Bond today.  Madame Tussauds has partnered with QUANTUM OF SOLACE, a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures/ Columbia Pictures release of EON Productions’ 22nd James Bond adventure, which opens in theaters nationwide tomorrow, to create the figures.  Each attraction will have its own Daniel Craig figure.   The figures were launched to celebrate the arrival of the eagerly anticipated 22nd Bond film, QUANTUM OF SOLACE.  Visitors can measure up to 007- the ultimate espionage expert – and enjoy some MI6 interactive twists.  The wax Bond in New York is housed in a recreated set from the film and surrounded by the sights and sounds of an MI6 forensic and briefing room on the attraction’s fifth floor, while the Vegas 007 will be in a party atmosphere, complete with stills from the film, in the attraction’s lobby.   “We are thrilled to welcome a figure of Daniel Craig as James Bond to our attraction.  James Bond is an international icon, and Daniel is one of the most memorable actors to portray 007.  We are incredibly grateful to him for his involvement in the figure creation process, and can’t wait for our guests to see and fall in love with his figure,” said Janine DiGioacchino, General Manager of Madame Tussauds New York and Madame Tussauds Washington D.C.   Craig worked closely with Madame Tussauds’ studio artists throughout the figure creation process.   He participated in a figure sitting in London, UK with a team of artists, who took hundreds of measurements and photos of Craig, to ensure his figure would be as accurate as possible.  Each of his figures will don classic tuxedos designed by the legendary Tom Ford; the tuxedos are replicas of the ones Craig wore during filming of QUANTUM OF SOLACE.  The figures are posed in a striking stance with Craig’s (and Bond’s) trademark steely glance.   “We can’t think of a more fitting person to immortalize in wax right now than Daniel Craig.  QUANTUM OF SOLACE is surely going to be a smash hit and Daniel is one of today’s hottest and most talented actors,” said Adrian Jones, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Las Vegas. Daniel Craig reprises his role as Ian Fleming’s James Bond 007 in QUANTUM OF SOLACE, the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures/Columbia Pictures release of EON Productions’ 22nd adventure in the longest running film franchise in motion picture history. The film is produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli and directed by Marc Forster. The screenplay was written by Paul Haggis and Neal Purvis & Robert Wade.
