Leda Meredith, author of The Locavore’s Handbook, will teach you preservation methods in a hands-on workshop at a Brooklyn kitchen that you can carry out in your own apartment, no matter how small. Sourcing local ingredients from the Grand Army Plaza Green Market, she’ll tell you what’s best suited for a fermented transformation, then teach you how to make an apple chutney and spicy carrot kimchee tasty enough to eat straight out of the jars, as well as a provencal soup that is perfect for winter.
