Description: This special interactive exhibit in celebration of Black History Month will feature a new wax likeness of Aretha Franklin (unveiling on February 2 at 10am). The exhibit will also feature some of history's most influential African-American musicians and performers in a special setting, inviting guests to interact with and pose for photos with Billie Holiday; play the harmonica alongside a young Stevie Wonder; stand at the microphone with the "Godfather of Soul," James Brown, as be belts out a tune; and join "The First Lady of Song," Ella Fitzgerald, in a duet. Visitors can also browse biographical information and historical facts on each performer.

Then come to Madame Tussauds New York, where they encourage this type of interaction! Madame Tussauds New York has been entertaining and captivating guests at its 85,000 square foot, five- floor, interactive celebrity wax museum since October 2000. Visitors to Madame Tussauds New York always have a unique and memorable experience. There are no velvet ropes separating guests from the figures, allowing the museum goer to attain a truly up close and personal interaction with A-list celebrities, sporting legends, political figures and historical icons. There are opportunities to know and feel what it is like to dance with Beyonce, have dinner with George Clooney, sing for Simon Cowell at American Idol and "meet" some of the world's most influential world leaders and history makers, including George Washington, John F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture your brush with fame at Madame Tussauds New York.

Madame Tussauds New York is located in the heart of Times Square at 234 W. 42nd St. between 7th and 8th Avenues. It is open 365 days a year, even on holidays, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day, starting at 10am every day. Sunday through Thursday, the last tickets are sold at 8pm. Friday and Saturday the last tickets are sold at 10pm. From Memorial Day, through Labor Day, the last tickets are sold at 10pm every night. On October 30th the last tickets will be sold at 6.30pm. On October 31st the last tickets are sold at 8.00pm. May close early for special events, please call ahead for updates. During busy seasons such as holidays and summer the line wait time to get into Madame Tussauds New York can be close to one hour. Although, during your wait, you are able to access the Chock Full of Nuts cafe in the lobby, make your own wax hand or watch a lobby video about Madame Tussauds New York. Madame Tussauds New York is handicapped accessible. Wheelchairs are available upon request at the box office on a first-come, first-served basis. Madame Tussauds New York is available to host private & corporate events, as well as groups including schools and camps. *All celebrities appear in wax.
