Pollinator Garden
LG is taking a step towards creating a more vibrant and sustainable future with the unveiling of its new pollinator garden. Earning a Certified Wildlife Habitat® certification through the National Wildlife Federation, America's largest and most trusted conservation organization, LG’s garden will be outfitted with native plants, which will attract a variety of pollinators such as bees, butterflies, moths, and beetles.
Pollinators play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of our ecosystem, and the garden will provide them with the necessary resources to thrive. With colony collapse disorder threatening their populations, it is more important than ever to create locations where they can find nectar and pollen-producing plants. Native plants occur naturally in a particular region, ecosystem, and serve a vital need in the community by connecting pollinator network pathways and supporting the ecosystem.
Attendees can participate in this sustainable activity by planting native species in the LG pollinator garden.
National Wildlife Federation and other conservation groups will be onsite to provide information on sustainable best practices and how to designate your backyard as a Certified Wildlife Habitat.
Inspiration Lab + LG Campus Tours
LG will be offering tours of the Inspiration Lab for students, teachers and local community members. The tours will provide an opportunity to learn about LG’s innovative technologies and sustainability initiatives and will include a scavenger hunt created by the National Wildlife Federation.
