Manic Impressive: An Hour of Comedy About Bipolar Disorder
Manic Impressive, a hilarious and poignant look at living with Bipolar Disorder by comedian Tristan Miller offers rapid-fire observations about mental health and a grab-bag of absurd characters. This hour of comedy contributes to the ongoing conversation surrounding mental health in a light and palatable way, as Tristan uses humor as a first step in the road from understanding to empathy to action.
Manic Impressive has been featured in festivals in the United States and New Zealand. Critics call it "Surreal, Brilliant, and Highly Relatable" (TheatreReview), and "Captivating and Charming in equal measure" (Art MurMurs). Otago Daily Times says “(Tristan’s) ability to humanize the experiences of those living with mental health issues, avoiding condescension or mockery, invites the audience to empathize and connect.”
