Colors of the Universe - Chinese Hardstone Carving (6/16-1/6) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art features stone carvings from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), including: personal adornments such as rings, bracelets, and pendants; articles for daily use (mainly in the scholar's studio) such as brush holders, water pots, and seals; and display pieces such as copies of antiques, miniature mountains, and animal and human figures.
Also opening: Ellsworth Kelly: Sculpture (6/19-9/9) at the Morgan Library and Museum; Sharon Hayes: There's So Much I Want to Say to You (6/21-9/9) at the Whitney Museum.
