The NYHarborway Bike and Boat NYC Weekend takes place this weekend -- Friday, August 27th through Sunday, August 29th, 2010.
Bike across the Brooklyn Bridge and boat back to Manhattan while exploring the city’s parks, greenway, and spectacular waterfront. It’s one part instant excitement, one part cool summer breezes and one part jaw-dropping views. Easy, safe, and fun for riders of all levels.
Chart your own course or follow one of their themed itineraries. Look up your Bike and Roll bike rental and sightseeing on foot or grab a bite along the way. After you cross the Brooklyn Bridge, cool off with a scoop from the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory before heading over the newly opened Brooklyn Bridge Park. Then, enjoy an easy-breezy boat ride back to Manhattan aboard New York Water Taxi.
Two packages available: the Battery Park Half-Day Package (from Bike and Roll/Battery Park) includes a 4-hour Bike and Roll bicycle rental and a New York Water Taxi ride from Fulton Ferry Landing, Brooklyn to Manhattan’s South Street Seaport. Boats depart from Fulton Ferry Landing every half hour (Fri., 10am-4pm; Sat.-Sun., 11:35am-5:50pm). Tickets: $39 adult/$20 child (a 25% savings); The Pier 84 Hudson River Park Full-Day Package (Sat. & Sun. only from Bike and Roll/Pier 84, W. 43rd St.) includes a full-day Bike and Roll bicycle rental and a New York Water Taxi cruise to Pier 84 with a guided tour up the Hudson and an “up close and personal” glimpse of Lady Liberty.
