Seaport Carolers are performing this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Pier 17, from 12pm to 2pm. This marks the 29th year that the South Street Seaport is serenading its patrons with beautiful holiday songs.
In another special holiday treat, the Big Apple Chorus will be returning this weekend for a special holiday performance on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 12:30pm.
Some South Street Seaport/Pier 17 shopping tips:
*Holiday Shopping Specials! Participating Pier 17 businesses are offering discounts on select merchandise now through December 31st, 2012.
*Many of the retailers, including Bath and Body Works, Claire's, Crocs and Stone Flower, as well as several of the eateries such as Pacific Grill and the food court are open and welcoming holiday shoppers. Additional shops and restaurants are expected to continue to open. Click here for a complete list of establishments within Pier 17.
*Pier 17 shops are open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 9pm and Sundays, 11am to 8pm. Restaurant hours may vary. The streets in the historic district along Fulton Street are open to pedestrians and visitors but most of the businesses in this area of The Seaport currently remain closed.
*Gray Line New York Sightseeing has resumed hop-on, hop-off service at its South Street Seaport stop.
*New York Water Taxi has returned to Pier 17!! Motorcoach drop off/pick up remains at Fulton and South Street.
*Check out the Fulton Stall Market, which is held every Sunday through December from 11am to 4pm with occasional live music performances and art exhibitions throughout the season. Click here for a list of their current vendors.
