In the Common Hour
Learn More |
"In the Common Hour" is a phantasmagoric multimedia performance inspired by Italo Calvino, the renowned Italian novelist known for innovative and imaginative literary works of Speculative Fiction. In a Route 66 motel a group of travelers gather at nightfall, each haunted by phantoms and seeking to tell their tale. Their powerful narratives evoke fairy tales, old westerns, financial scandals and biker gangs. New Stage Theatre is known for its bold visual style and compelling absurdist/physical humor. Conceived and directed by Ildiko Nemeth from an original text by Marie Glancy O'Shea; developed in collaboration with its ensemble of seven actors.
Venue: New Stage Performance Space, 36 West 106th Street
36 West 106th Street (basement), btw. Central Park West and Manhattan Ave.
