Arlo SoHo’s Living Room Gallery: Opening Reception (Collector’s Edition)
Head to Arlo SoHo on Tuesday, April 30th from 6 - 8 p.m. for a very special opening reception of Arlo's Living Room Gallery Series, created and curated by Jasmine Arakel in partnership with Guy Hepner Gallery and Arlo Hotels, and experience the latest installation at Arlo SoHo featuring over 20 works on paper by Andy Warhol. You might even get the opportunity to take one home with you. This new exhibition features an extensive selection of hand-colored illustrations from the 1950s-60s by pop artist Andy Warhol. From his iconic Wild Raspberries recipe book to the rare Fleming-Joffe collages, the exhibition will bring collectors into the early parts of Warhol’s career as an artist. With framed works starting at $2,500, this is a great opportunity to add an early Warhol to your collection. A gallerist from Guy Hepner will host an exclusive talk on how to begin collecting art and answer any questions you may have on the art-buying process, no purchase necessary. Complimentary bubbles will be served upon arrival for the first 50 guests. There will also be a cash bar. This reception is open to the public, so feel free to bring your friends, lovers, colleagues, and open minds for a night of fine art, drinks, and discussion. RSVP for free on Eventbrite. A photographer will be present to take photos of the event. Please note that you may be photographed.
Arlo’s Living Room Gallery was created and curated by Arakel in partnership with Arlo Hotels to showcase the works of celebrated artists in a space accessible to everyone in the community.
About Arlo Hotels Living Room Gallery: Art and community are part of Arlo’s core pillars and it is apparent in its partnership with art curator Jasmine Arakel for Arlo Hotels’ Living Room Gallery program, which features a rotating display of artworks from some of New York City’s most celebrated art galleries, including pieces from celebrated artists. The works are dispersed throughout the public areas of Arlo Hotels’ Manhattan locations, allowing guests and visitors to experience and appreciate collector-grade art in a welcoming and accessible environment. The pieces have been carefully selected to complement each hotel’s aesthetics, culture and identity. Past featured artists include Damien Hirst, Takashi Murakami, Sebastian Magnani and KAWS, amongst others.
